Did you know that September 21 is Peace Day? Begun by one of our partnering nonprofits, Pathways To Peace (
www.pathwaystopeace.org), it has grown into an important international effort to focus attention on peace and possibilities. We at Dream On! are supporting Peace Day in a number of ways and we invite you to participate. For more information, check out the official website:

When I think of a culture of peace, I of course think of Dr. King, but I also think of one of his mentors -- Mohandas Gandhi -- and one of his famous quotes: "You must be the change to want to see in the world." This quote also makes me think of the lyrics to the newest song in our collection: King for a Day, by the amazing Mateo Denali. Visit the New Artists page to read about Mateo and listen to King for a Day.
"Across culture and country... beyond color of skin... a king walked among us, dreaming all could be kin." The chorus reminds us that we "all could be king... every day." To me, that thought echoes Gandhi's assertion that we all must be the change we wish to see in the world. We must reflect on what we want our world to be and how we can contribute to that vision. Part of that is following (in our own ways) in the peaceful footsteps of these great individuals and many others like them.
Peace... pass it on!
