Times, they are a changin’. Just two weeks ago, our nation inaugurated its first African American president. This month, we remember the long road that brought us here. Although Black History Month (which began as "Negro History Week" in 1926) has been reenergized by current events, its goals — to remember, to honor, and to educate — remain the same.

Dream On! has been so blessed to be collaborating with so many amazing people! Just one I'd like to send a shout-out to today is Laura Vecchione. If you've read the ABOUT page, you may recall that the idea for Dream On! began while listening to a sermon of Dr. King's that had originally been given at Temple Israel in Hollywood, CA, in 1965. The recording had been lost in the archives for years, but was rediscovered 2 years ago, and a portion of it was broadcast on NPR on MLK's celebrated birthday last year.
