The Coyote Problem
Dubbed by one critic "California-cana", the music of The Coyote Problem pulls the jetstreams of rock, country and folk up over the Sierras, across the desert and down to the coast highway where simplicity and beauty are all that matter. Like Neil Young and Lucinda Williams they care more about songs than scenes. If we don't feel it, we don't do it.
Winners of Best Alt Country Band at the 2006 and 2007 HAT Awards (Honoring Acoustic Talent), winners of the Best Americana Album award in the 2007 and 2005 San Diego Music Awards, and perennial nominees for Best Americana Band at the San Diego Music Awards, The Coyote Problem represents the best of the Southern California alt-country folk rock sound. Opening for acts as diverse as Son Volt, Los Lonely Boys, Arlo Guthrie and Blue Oyster Cult attests to The Coyote Problem's eclectic, wide-ranging appeal.
We come from the era of Beatles and Dylan and can't shake the innate conviction that rock and roll is both a serious artform and funner than a sack of cherry bombs. And that real rock and roll honors its roots in folk, blues and country.
