Elyse is a one woman army, fierce with determination and passion, with a voice just as unique as the songs she crafts. In less than a year, she's gone from a complete unknown, with no band, album or following, to playing for a sold-out audience opening for BERLIN.

In January 2008, Elyse and her band played their first show at Molly Malone's in Los Angeles, in the midst of recording Elyse's debut album.

There's nothing contrived about Elyse. Combining sensitivity with unbridled rocker passion, she grabs you with the sheer power but keeps with intimacy and honesty. With an allure reminiscent of Chrissie Hynes, she creates unforgettable melodies with an intelligent lyrical sensibility, based on real life experience.

BACK STORY

Elyse, severely asthmatic as a child, was encouraged to sing to develop her lungs, but she credits listening to "We are the World" as a youngster as the place where she discovered the power of a song.

In college she majored in music and theatre, singing everything from Opera to Musical Theatre, but it was shortly before graduation where Elyse's life changed at a Fleetwood Mac concert. As she looked back from the third row at the crowd, she was engulfed by the energy of the band, the music and the audience. In that moment, Elyse followed her own the musical voice.

Elyse took like a fish to writing songs. Playing guitar helped release her most uncensored thoughts and feelings. She started recording herself, playing the majority of instruments and recording dozens of demos in and out of her apartment in Los Angeles, eventually attracting the attention of investors to contribute to first full length album.

SHOCK EVERYONE - MAKE IT HAPPEN

In late 2007, Elyse met guitarist Greg Pajer, bass player/songwriter Andrew James and drummer, Blake "The Pulse" Paulson. The foursome bonded immediately, encouraging her inspiring Elyse to write the last group of songs on Shut UP and Listen!".

Unwilling to settle for anyone but a "hands on" producer, she turned to trusted friend and producer, Brett Chassen, and his business partner, Bob Kulick, (Meatloaf, KISS, Motorhead etc...). Energized by their straight-forward brutal honesty, attention to detail, and can-do, no-bull attitude, Elyse knew she has found her producers.

Featuring incredible Tim Myers (formerly of One Republic), on piano (Break My Heart Slowly, One Photograph, Out of Time, Victim of Anything), and Dave Collins (Linkin Park, Weezer, Soundgarden), mastering, "Shut UP and Listen!" was released in August 2008 and is NOW AVAILABLE for download at all digital retailers including iTunes, CD Baby, Rhapsody and Amazon.

The morning the album hit iTunes, Elyse was in already in a meeting with the incomparable Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Chris Isaak, Green Day) to remix songs from "Shut UP and Listen!".

What Elyse has accomplished in less than a year is nothing short of remarkable; creating a major label quality music with no manager or label. "Killing the Lonely" the new EP is scheduled for release in March 2009.
